Sign Chatter is a great place to meet for UK Signmakers and, whilst it welcomes friends from around the world, will attempt to remain UK orientated. It is a FREE board in every sense. That means there are NO FEES to join or view the site but it also means that as the board is run by Signmakers, for Signmakers, you are FREE to express your views without fear of commercial intervention. We welcome suppliers of hardware, software, consumables or any service of interest to our members but do so on the understanding that they register on the board and provide support for any queries our members may have . They should also make their status clear when supplying such information. Members will always be free to offer merited praise or honest criticism of any such product or service. The Administrators make no charge for any participation in the board and will therefore strive to remain objective and independent. Finally, please treat others as you would wish to be treated yourself - we would like to keep moderation of posts to an absolute minimum! By applying for registration you agree to abide by the above standards. The Administrators reserve the right to refuse any application and to remove any Member who fails to adhere to it's code of conduct. OK! So what is involved? We simply ask you to provide a few basic details about yourself before we grant registration to our forums. We require a REAL name and REAL address together with an E-Mail address which either links to your business or is provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider). Web-based mail addresses such as those provided by Hotmail or Yahoo are not acceptable. We would also like a telephone number relating to your address (home or business). This is purely to satisfy ourselves that you are a genuine registrant. These details are purely for our Administration and will not be viewable to any other Members - neither will we supply any such details to any other party without your prior permission. You are also requested to provide a User Name by which you would like to be known on the board (either your real name or a nickname) and a password. On acceptance, you will receive an e-mail from the Administrators, after which you will be able to log on to the forums with the User Name and password you have chosen. You can then access your "Profile" and change your password as required. You will also be able to complete your profile with any details you might wish to be seen by other members, such as your web site address. your interests, etc, and also upload your photo so that we can see what a wonderful person you are! Once registered, you will not only be able to view and post in the forums but also send private messages and e-mails to other members without revealing your own e-mail address.
